Investigation of Adaptive Droop Control Applied to Low-Voltage DC Microgrid

In a DC microgrid, droop control is the most common and widely used strategy for managing power flow from sources to loads. Conventional has some limitations such as poor voltage regulation improper load sharing between converters during unequal source voltages, different cable resistances, variations. This paper addressed of conventional by proposing simple adaptive technique. The proposed method was designed based on mathematical calculations, adjusting parameters accordingly. primary objective controller improve performance low-voltage microgrid maintaining proper sharing, reduced circulating current, better regulation. effectiveness methodology verified conducting simulation experimental studies.
